Days of Christmas... 1-8

Hopefully if you’ve found your way here you are in possession of one of our Christmas Advent Calendars. Fear not if you haven’t, this blog will capture each of our teas available in the advent calendar by day, and including ingredients, recommended brewing instructions, inspiration for the blend, and for some, an alternative method of how you can enjoy this tea! All information is merely a guide, and we hope you enjoy every cup over the next 24 days.

If you would like each morning to be a surprise, please be careful with your scrolling. Without further ado, on the first day of Christmas…..

Day 1. Black Forest

An old favourite here at Wildflower, inspired by Grandma's Black Forest cake, baked each year for the family Christmas lunch and served with plenty of cream. The nostalgia is high for us in this tea, and it invokes feelings of warmth, family, and a very full stomach. Subtle chocolate, cherry and cream flavours feature in this sweeter black tea. Perfect for an after dinner brew or as an afternoon pick me up. Add a splash of your favourite milk to open these flavours up.

Ingredients: Black tea, pomegranate, cherry stems, moringa, cocoa beans, cranberry, cornflower petals & safflower petals.

Recommended Brewing Instructions

1 tsp of leaves / 250mL of 100°C water.

Brew for 3 minutes

Remove leaves and add your favourite milk, or enjoy black.

Day 2. Blue Sunshine

Feeling a little flat with the busiest time of the year on our doorstep? Take a sip of our Blue Sunshine, our version of light in a cup. Delicate and light flavours offer warmth and zest, brightening the dullest of days.
